Okay, I've been gone awhile.  The bad weather hit, the holidays came, etc.

I continued to do yoga, missing some days. I walked to the store. I did stair laps, carrying groceries up to the apartment. I took short walks, including the new pedestrian walkway from Miller's Landing, under the Colorado Bridge, to the edge of the Old Mill District and back. I walked to get the mail. I walked to the office, checked out the exercise equipment, and walked back to the apartment.  When I drove places, I  parked away from store entrances and the library.  I walked in and around Fred Meyer.  From the grocery door, around the building perimeter, past the apparel entrance, over to the home and back again is almost 10 minutes, which is very good to know when it's icy and blowy, but I felt that what I did really didn't add up to thirty minutes on any one day, and thereby did not justify any blog accounts.

Today, I did yoga and some free weights exercises, and then headed out the door at about 7:20 a.m..  First, to Fred Meyer and back for a few items, I don't know the distance, and the parking lot was icy, so I didn't count the time, and then from the apartment to the south Sonic, which is one mile away, by the Wal-Mart parking lot.

There wasn't much in the line of traffic at 8ish on a Saturday morning, but the exhaust fumes were strong and it seemed as if there was an inversion going on, even though there was a breeze.  I walked quickly and did not feel the cold. The sky was over-cast with a solid gray blanket that hung just above the tops of the Ponderosa trees.  The sidewalks had been cleared, but some more snow had fallen since then and had mostly melted.  There was a bit of gravel on the sidewalks, but not enough to prevent the occasional small slip.

Sonic was empty, except for the employees.  I got the breakfast to go then walked the mile back at the same pace.  I got to the apartment as the rain started to sprinkle and ran up the stairs to my door, not winded at all.  The sandwiches were still warm when my husband and I sat down for breakfast.
